तत्र क्लृप्तमिदं राज्ञा हृदि कार्यं मतं च नः ।
शत्रौ हि साहसं यत् स्यात् किमिवात्रापनीयताम् ॥६-६४-१०॥
tatra kḷptamidaṃ rājñā hṛdi kāryaṃ mataṃ ca naḥ |
śatrau hi sāhasaṃ yat syāt kimivātrāpanīyatām ॥6-64-10॥
Translation
The course of action decided by King Ravana in his heart is acceptable to us as well. What can be wrong in showing boldness against the enemy?

राजा रावण ने अपने हृदय में जो कार्य निश्चित किया है, वह हमें भी सम्मत है। शत्रु के प्रति साहस दिखाना ही उचित है, इसमें क्या बुराई हो सकती है?

Mahodara displays absolute sycophancy, declaring that the King's decision is the council's consensus. He mislabels Ravana's transgression against Shri Rama as 'boldness' or 'valor.' महोदर यहाँ रावण के प्रति अपनी पूर्ण निष्ठा और चाटुकारिता प्रकट करता है। वह कहता है कि राजा का निर्णय ही सर्वोपरि है। वह श्री राम के विरुद्ध रावण के अपराध को 'साहस' की संज्ञा देता है। यह किसी निरंकुश शासन के मंत्रियों का विशिष्ट व्यवहार है, जहाँ वे राजा के कुकृत्यों को भी वीरता बताकर महिमामण्डित करते हैं।
