ज्वलन्तं तेजसा नित्यं क्रोधेन च दुरासदम् ।
कस्तं मृत्युमिवासह्यमासादयितुमर्हति ॥६-६४-१५॥
jvalantaṃ tejasā nityaṃ krōdhēna ca durāsadam |
kastaṃ mṛtyumivāsahyamāsādayitu marhati ॥6-64-15॥
Translation
Who would dare to approach Shri Rama, who is constantly blazing with brilliance, who is invincible in anger, and who is as unbearable as Death itself?

जो सदा अपने तेज से प्रज्वलित रहते हैं और क्रोध आने पर जिन्हें जीतना असंभव है, उन साक्षात् मृत्यु के समान असहनीय श्री राम के पास भला कौन जा सकता है?
English Commentary
Mahodara equates Shri Rama with Death. This reflects how the unrighteous perceive the Divine—as an unstoppable force of destruction for their sins. Describing Him as 'blazing with brilliance' acknowledges His supreme aura. While his fear is grounded in reality, Mahodara’s proposed solution is rooted in deception rather than valor.

महोदर श्री राम को 'मृत्यु' के समान बता रहा है। यह अधर्मियों की दृष्टि में भगवान का वह स्वरूप है जो उनके विनाश के लिए प्रकट हुआ है। 'तेजसा ज्वलन्तम्' शब्द उनके ईश्वरीय प्रताप को सूचित करते हैं। महोदर का यह भय यथार्थवादी है, किन्तु उसका समाधान (छल) तामसिक है। वह शक्ति का सामना शक्ति से करने के बजाय कपट से करने का सुझाव देने वाला है।
