सा पुरा सुखसंवृद्धा सुखार्हा दुःखकर्शिता ।
त्वय्यधीनं सुखं ज्ञात्वा सर्वथोपगमिष्यति ॥६-६४-३४॥
sā purā sukhasaṃvṛddhā sukhārhā duḥkhakarśitā |
tvayyadhīnaṃ sukhaṃ jñātvā sarvathōpagamiṣyati ॥6-64-34॥
Translation
She was raised in comfort and deserves happiness, but is now worn down by grief. Knowing that all future happiness depends on you, she will surely approach you.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह पहले सुखों में पली है और सुखों की ही अधिकारी है, किन्तु अब दुःख से दुर्बल हो गई है। जब वह देखेगी कि सारा सुख अब आपके ही अधीन है, तो वह निश्चित ही आपके पास आएगी।
English Commentary
Mahodara employs psychological entrapment, arguing that a suffering person eventually seeks the path of least resistance. He attempts to position Ravana as the 'giver of happiness.' This is the ultimate temptation of Adharma, portraying the path of truth as arduous and painful while making indulgence look inviting.

महोदर यहाँ मनोवैज्ञानिक लालच दे रहा है। वह कहता है कि दुःख से थका हुआ मनुष्य अंततः सुख की शरण चाहता है। वह रावण को 'सुख का दाता' बनाकर प्रस्तुत करना चाहता है। यह अधर्म का वह चरम प्रलोभन है जहाँ वह सत्य और त्याग के मार्ग को कठिन और दुःखद बताकर भोग के मार्ग को सुगम दिखाता है।
