आबबन्ध महातेजाः कुम्भकर्णस्य रावणः ।
अङ्गदान्यङ्गुलीवेष्टान् वराण्याभरणानि च ॥६-६५-२६॥
ābabandha mahātejāḥ kumbhakarṇasya rāvaṇaḥ |
aṅgadānyaṅgulīveṣṭān varāṇyābharaṇāni ca ॥6-65-26॥
Translation
...the highly radiant Ravana tied/put on Kumbhakarna. (He also put on) armlets, finger-rings, and other excellent ornaments.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...महातेजस्वी रावण ने कुम्भकर्ण को (पहनाई)। (तथा) बाजूबंद, अंगूठियां और अन्य श्रेष्ठ आभूषण भी पहनाए।
English Commentary
Ravana acts as the dresser for his brother. Adorning him with armlets and rings signifies investing him with royal power and protection. It's an intimate act of brotherhood, preparing the warrior not just physically but emotionally for the battle.

रावण ने स्वयं कुम्भकर्ण को बाजूबंद ('अङ्गदानि') और अंगूठियां ('अङ्गुलीवेष्टान्') पहनाईं। यह भाई के प्रति प्रेम और युद्ध में विजय की कामना का प्रतीक है। राजा द्वारा अपने हाथों से योद्धा को सजाना सर्वोच्च सम्मान है।
