निष्पतन्तं महाकायं महानादं महाबलम् ।
तमाशीर्भिः प्रशस्ताभिः प्रेषयामास रावणः ॥६-६५-३३॥
niṣpatantaṃ mahākāyaṃ mahānādaṃ mahābalam |
tamāśīrbhiḥ praśastābhiḥ preṣayāmāsa rāvaṇaḥ ॥6-65-33॥
Translation
Ravana sent him off—who was massive in body, loud in roar, and mighty in strength—as he was departing, with excellent blessings.
हिंदी अनुवाद
निकलते हुए उस विशाल शरीर, महान नाद और महाबल वाले (कुम्भकर्ण) को रावण ने प्रशस्त (शुभ/उत्तम) आशीर्वादों के साथ विदा किया।
English Commentary
Ravana blesses his brother. Sending him off with 'prashastabhih ashirbhih' (auspicious blessings) shows Ravana's role as the elder and guardian. It adds a poignant note to the scene—the villain praying for the safety and victory of his beloved brother.
हिंदी टीका
रावण ने छोटे भाई को आशीर्वाद ('आशीर्भिः') देकर विदा किया। 'प्रशस्ताभिः' का अर्थ है वैदिक या मंगलकारी मंत्रों/वचनों से। रावण जानता था कि यह अंतिम विदाई हो सकती है, इसलिए उसने अपनी सारी शुभकामनाएँ उसे दीं।
