विक्लवानामबुद्धीनां राज्ञा पण्डितमानिनाम् ।
शृण्वता सादितमिदं त्वद्विधानां महोदर ॥६-६५-५॥
viklavānāmabuddhīnāṃ rājñā paṇḍitamāninām |
śṛṇvatā sāditamidam tvadvidhānāṃ mahodara ॥6-65-5॥
Translation
O Mahodara! By listening to people like you—cowards, fools, and those who consider themselves wise—the King has ruined this (kingdom).
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे महोदर! राजा ने तुम जैसे कायरों, बुद्धिहीनों और स्वयं को पंडित (विद्वान) मानने वालों की बातें सुन-सुनकर यह (राज्य) नष्ट कर दिया है।
English Commentary
A scathing attack on the administration. Kumbhakarna blames the 'pandita-maninam' (pseudo-intellectuals) like Mahodara for the kingdom's downfall. He asserts that Ravana's reliance on cowardly ('viklavanam') and foolish advisors led to this catastrophe. It's a critique of governance where loyalty is valued over competence and truth.

कुम्भकर्ण फिर महोदर पर बरसता है। वह रावण की दुर्दशा का कारण 'यस-मैन' (चाटुकार) मंत्रियों को मानता है। वे 'पण्डितमानिनाम्' (खुद को समझदार समझने वाले) हैं लेकिन वास्तव में 'अबुद्धीनाम्' (मूर्ख) हैं। कुम्भकर्ण का स्पष्ट आरोप है कि गलत सलाह ने लंका को डुबो दिया है।
