निपपात तदा चोल्का ज्वलन्ती भीमनिस्वना ।
आदित्यो निष्प्रभश्चासीन्न प्रवाति सुखो ऽनिलः ॥६-६५-५१॥
nipapāta tadā colkā jvalantī bhīmanisvanā |
ādityo niṣprabhaścāsīnna pravāti sukho'nilaḥ ॥6-65-51॥
Translation
At that time, a blazing meteor fell with a terrible sound. The sun became lusterless, and the wind did not blow pleasantly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस समय भयानक आवाज करती हुई जलती उल्का गिरी। सूर्य निस्तेज हो गए और सुखद हवा नहीं बह रही थी।
English Commentary
Cosmic rejection. The sun losing light and the wind turning harsh symbolize the withdrawal of divine favor. The falling meteor reinforces the impending fall of the giant.
हिंदी टीका
सूर्य का प्रकाश मंद पड़ गया ('निष्प्रभः') और हवा प्रतिकूल हो गई। प्रकृति ने अपना समर्थन वापस ले लिया था। उल्का का गिरना किसी महान व्यक्ति के पतन का संकेत था।
