तस्मिन् काले सुमित्रायाः पुत्रः परबलार्दनः ।
चकार लक्ष्मणः क्रुद्धो युद्धं परपुरंजयः ॥६-६७-१०२॥
tasmin kāle sumitrāyāḥ putraḥ parabalārdanaḥ |
cakāra lakṣmaṇaḥ kruddho yuddhaṃ parapuraṃjayaḥ ॥6-67-102॥
Translation
At that time, Lakshmana, the son of Sumitra, the crusher of enemy forces and the conqueror of enemy cities, filled with rage, commenced his battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस समय शत्रुओं की सेना को पीड़ित करने वाले और शत्रुओं के नगरों को जीतने वाले सुमित्रानन्दन लक्ष्मण ने क्रोधित होकर युद्ध आरम्भ किया।
English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana's entry here is that of a protector. He is described as 'Parabalardanah' (the crusher of enemy forces). At a time when the Vanara army was utterly despondent, Shri Lakshmana's rage manifests His valor and His vow of protection. He stands as a shield to halt Kumbhakarna's cataclysmic momentum.

श्री लक्ष्मण जी का यहाँ प्रवेश एक रक्षक के रूप में हुआ है। उन्हें 'परबलार्दनः' (शत्रु सेना को कुचलने वाला) कहा गया है। जब वानर सेना पूरी तरह हताश थी, तब श्री लक्ष्मण का क्रोध उनके शौर्य और रक्षा के संकल्प को प्रकट करता है। वे कुम्भकर्ण के उस प्रलयंकारी वेग को रोकने के लिए ढाल बनकर खड़े हुए हैं।
