Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तोषितो गन्तुमिच्छामि त्वामनुज्ञाप्य राघवम् ।
सत्त्वधैर्यबलोत्साहैस्तोषितोऽहं रणे त्वया ॥६-६७-११२॥
toṣito gantumicchāmi tvāmanujñāpya rāghavam |
sattvadhairyabalotsāhaistoṣito'haṃ raṇe tvayā ॥6-67-112॥
Translation
Am satisfied. I now wish to pass you and go toward Shri Rama. I am highly pleased by your courage, steadiness, strength, and enthusiasm in the battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अत्यंत संतुष्ट हूँ। अब मैं तुम्हें छोड़कर श्री राम के पास जाना चाहता हूँ। युद्ध में तुम्हारे धैर्य, बल और उत्साह से मैं अत्यंत प्रसन्न हूँ।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna being 'satisfied' with Shri Lakshmana and choosing to move forward is part of his strategy. He knows that the real challenge is Shri Rama. While maintaining respect for Shri Lakshmana, he does not consider Him his primary target at this moment. It reflects a seasoned warrior's focus on the main objective over secondary skirmishes.

कुम्भकर्ण का श्री लक्ष्मण से 'संतुष्ट' होना और आगे बढ़ना उसकी रणनीति का हिस्सा है। वह जानता है कि असली चुनौती श्री राम हैं। वह श्री लक्ष्मण के प्रति आदर भाव रखते हुए भी उन्हें इस समय अपना मुख्य लक्ष्य नहीं मानता। यह एक परिपक्व योद्धा की दृष्टि है जो अनावश्यक संघर्ष को टालकर मुख्य उद्देश्य की ओर बढ़ता है।
