अतिक्रम्य च सौमित्रिं कुम्भकर्णो महाबलः ।
राममेवाभिदुद्राव दारयन्निव मेदिनीम् ॥६-६७-११८॥
atikramya ca saumitriṃ kumbhakarṇo mahābalaḥ |
rāmamevābhidudrāva dārayanniva medinīm ॥6-67-118॥
Translation
Passing by Lakshmana, the mighty Kumbhakarna rushed toward Shri Rama alone, as if he would tear the very earth asunder with his stride.
हिंदी अनुवाद
सुमित्रानन्दन लक्ष्मण को छोड़कर वह महाबली कुम्भकर्ण श्री राम की ओर ही दौड़ा, मानो वह अपने पैरों से पृथ्वी को फाड़ देगा।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna's momentum here is cataclysmic. The phrase 'Darayanniva medinim' (as if tearing the earth) vividly portrays his enormity and the impact of his heavy steps. He is now rushing to collide directly with the human manifestation of Lord Narayana. This scene is one of the most thrilling and decisive moments of the war.

कुम्भकर्ण का वेग यहाँ प्रलयंकारी है। 'दारयन्निव मेदिनीम्' (पृथ्वी को फाड़ते हुए) उसकी विशालता और उसके कदम के प्रभाव को चित्रित करता है। वह अब सीधे साक्षात् नारायण के मानवी विग्रह से टकराने जा रहा है। यह दृश्य युद्ध के सबसे रोमांचक और निर्णायक क्षणों में से एक है।
