चिक्षेप राममुद्दिश्य बलवानन्तकोपमः ।
अप्राप्तमन्तरा रामः सप्तभिस्तैरजिह्मगैः ॥६-६७-१२७॥

English Commentary
Kumbhakarna is compared to 'Antaka' (Death), affirming his destructive power. Shri Rama's concentration and archery are displayed marvelously here. The term 'Apraptamantara' (intercepted midway) proves that the Lord's speed was far superior to the enemy's hurl. The use of exactly seven arrows reflects His flawless precision.

कुम्भकर्ण की तुलना 'अन्तक' (यमराज) से की गई है, जो उसकी संहारक शक्ति को पुष्ट करती है। श्री राम की एकाग्रता और धनुर्विद्या का यहाँ अद्भुत प्रदर्शन है। 'अप्राप्तमन्तरा' (बीच में ही रोक देना) यह सिद्ध करता है कि प्रभु का वेग शत्रु के प्रहार से कहीं अधिक था। सात बाणों का प्रयोग उनकी अचूक गणना को दर्शाता है।
