Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
कुम्भकर्णवधे युक्तो योगान् परिमृशन् बहून् ।
नैवायं वानरान् राजन्नापि जानाति राक्षसान् ॥६-६७-१३०॥
kumbhakarṇavadhe yukto yogān parimṛśan bahūn |
naivāyaṃ vānarān rājannāpi jānāti rākṣasān ॥6-67-130॥
Translation
Reflecting on many ways to slay Kumbhakarna, Lakshmana said: O King! This demon distinguishes neither the monkeys nor the Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कुम्भकर्ण के वध के अनेक उपायों पर विचार करते हुए लक्ष्मण बोले— हे राजन्! यह राक्षस न तो वानरों को पहचान रहा है और न ही राक्षसों को।
English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana's observation is extremely precise. He has realized that Kumbhakarna has lost all sense of self and surroundings. He is functioning like a mindless engine of violence. The word 'Yogan' refers to the various strategic methods and formations of war. Lakshmana's warning highlights the psychological state of the enemy.

श्री लक्ष्मण जी का प्रेक्षण (Observation) अत्यंत सटीक है। उन्होंने पहचान लिया कि कुम्भकर्ण अब अपनी सुध-बुध खो चुका है। वह केवल एक हिंसक मशीन की भाँति कार्य कर रहा है। 'योगान्' शब्द यहाँ युद्ध की विभिन्न युक्तियों और व्यूह रचनाओं के लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ है। लक्ष्मण जी की यह चेतावनी युद्ध के मनोवैज्ञानिक पक्ष को उजागर करती है।
