मत्तः शोणितगन्धेन स्वान् परांश्चैव खादति ।
साध्वेनमधिरोहन्तु सर्वे ते वानरर्षभाः ॥६-६७-१३१॥
mattaḥ śoṇitagandhena svān parāṃścaiva khādati |
sādhvenamadhirōhantu sarve te vānararṣabhāḥ ॥6-67-131॥
Translation
Intoxicated by the smell of blood, he devours both his own people and the enemies. Therefore, let all these excellent Vanaras climb upon him properly.

यह रक्त की गंध से उन्मत्त होकर अपने और पराए सबको खा रहा है। अतः ये सभी वानर श्रेष्ठ अच्छी तरह इसके ऊपर चढ़ जाएं।
English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana suggests a unique strategy. He wants the Vanaras to climb onto Kumbhakarna's body to weigh him down and stabilize him. Being 'intoxicated by the smell of blood' represents the final stage of his mental collapse. This suggestion aims to utilize the collective weight of the Vanaras to paralyze the enemy's movement.

लक्ष्मण जी एक बहुत ही अनूठी रणनीति सुझा रहे हैं। वे चाहते हैं कि वानर कुम्भकर्ण के शरीर पर चढ़कर उसका भार बढ़ा दें और उसे स्थिर कर दें। 'शोणितगन्धेन मत्तः' (रक्त की गंध से पागल) होना उसके पूर्ण पतन की पूर्व-अवस्था है। यह सुझाव वानरों के सामूहिक बल का उपयोग शत्रु की गतिशीलता को रोकने के लिए है।
