यूथपाश्च यथा मुख्यास्तिष्ठन्त्वस्य समन्ततः ।
अप्ययं दुर्मतिः काले गुरुभारप्रपीडितः ॥६-६७-१३२॥
yūthapāśca yathā mukhyāstiṣṭhantvāsya samantataḥ |
apyayaṃ durmatiḥ kāle gurubhāraprapīḍitaḥ ॥6-67-132॥

English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana's plan is to physically constrain Kumbhakarna. He intends to slow down the demon's strikes through 'Gurubhara' (heavy weight). The word 'Durmatih' (evil-minded/foolish) confirms his lack of discernment. This is a tactical siege designed to exhaust the enemy.
