प्रपतन् राक्षसो भूमौ नान्यान् हन्यात् प्लवङ्गमान् ।
तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा राजपुत्रस्य धीमतः ॥६-६७-१३३॥
prapatan rākṣaso bhūmau nānyān hanyāt plavaṅgamān |
tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā rājaputrasya dhīmataḥ ॥6-67-133॥
Translation
When this Rakshasa falls to the ground, he should not be able to kill any more monkeys. Hearing those words of the wise Prince (Lakshmana)—

English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana's concern is the safety of His army. He realizes that the fall of Kumbhakarna's massive body could itself be catastrophic. He wants to control that descent. The term 'Dhimatah' praises His visionary thought. It reflects the leadership quality of minimizing self-loss while ensuring the enemy's destruction.

लक्ष्मण जी की चिंता अपनी सेना की सुरक्षा के प्रति है। वे जानते हैं कि कुम्भकर्ण का विशाल शरीर जब गिरेगा, तो वह भी विनाशकारी हो सकता है। वे उस पतन को नियंत्रित करना चाहते हैं। 'धीमतः' शब्द उनके इस दूरदर्शी विचार की प्रशंसा है। यह नेतृत्व के उस गुण को दर्शाता है जो शत्रु के विनाश के साथ-साथ अपनी हानि को न्यूनतम रखने का प्रयास करता है।
