त्वमेको रक्षसां लोके सत्यधर्माभिरक्षिता ।
नास्ति धर्माभियुक्तानां व्यसनं तु कदाचन ॥६-६७-१४९॥
tvameko rakṣasāṃ loke satyadharmābhirakṣita |
nāsti dharmābhiyuktānāṃ vyasanaṃ tu kadācana ॥6-67-149॥
Translation
You alone in the world of Rakshasas are the protector of truth and righteousness. Indeed, those devoted to Dharma never face ultimate ruin or calamity.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षस लोक में केवल तुम ही सत्य और धर्म के रक्षक हो। निश्चित ही धर्म पर चलने वालों पर कभी कोई संकट नहीं आता।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna praises Vibhishana's righteousness. This reinforces a major theme of the Ramayana—'Yato Dharmastato Jayah' (Where there is Dharma, there is victory). He realizes that while the Rakshasa race will perish due to unrighteousness, Vibhishana will be protected by his adherence to Dharma. It is an admission of Dharma's superiority even in the stronghold of demons.

कुम्भकर्ण विभीषण की धार्मिकता की प्रशंसा करता है। यह श्री रामायण का एक महान सत्य है— 'यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः' (जहाँ धर्म है, वहाँ विजय है)। वह जानता है कि राक्षस कुल अधर्म के कारण समाप्त होने वाला है, किन्तु विभीषण धर्म के कारण सुरक्षित रहेंगे। यह अधर्म के गढ़ में धर्म की श्रेष्ठता की स्वीकारोक्ति है।
