ततस्तु वातोद्धतमेघकल्पं भुजङ्गराजोत्तमभोगबाहुम् ।
तमापतन्तं धरणीधराभमुवाच रामो युधि कुम्भकर्णम् ॥६-६७-१५६॥
tatastu vātoddhutameghakalpaṃ bhujaṅgarājottamabhogabāhum |
tamāpatantaṃ dharaṇīdharābhamuvāca rāmo yudhi kumbhakarṇam ॥6-67-156॥
Translation
Then, to the approaching Kumbhakarna, who was like a cloud driven by the wind, had arms as thick as the body of the king of serpents, and was as massive as a mountain, Shri Rama spoke in the battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब वायु से उड़ते हुए मेघ के समान, सर्पराज वासुकि के समान पुष्ट भुजाओं वाले और पर्वत के समान विशाल उस आते हुए कुम्भकर्ण से श्री राम ने युद्ध में यह कहा।
English Commentary
Comparing Kumbhakarna to a 'cloud driven by wind' highlights his immense momentum and power. Likening his arms to the 'King of Serpents' indicates their girth and lethal capacity. Shri Rama now personally takes charge of the front. This direct encounter between two supreme powers is presented as a thrilling moment of the epic.

कुम्भकर्ण के स्वरूप की तुलना 'वात-उद्धुत मेघ' (आंधी में उड़ते बादल) से करना उसकी प्रचंड गति और शक्ति को दर्शाता है। उसकी भुजाओं को 'भुजङ्गराज' कहना उनकी मोटाई और मारक क्षमता का सूचक है। श्री राम अब स्वयं मोर्चा संभाल रहे हैं। यहाँ दो महान शक्तियों के आमने-सामने आने का दृश्य अत्यंत रोमांचक है।
