ववर्ष कुम्भकर्णस्य शिरस्यम्बरमास्थितः ।
तानि पर्वतशृङ्गाणि शूलेन स बिभेद ह ॥ ६.६७.१६ ॥ बभञ्ज वृक्षवर्षं च कुम्भकर्णो महाबलः ॥ ॥६-६७-१६॥
vavarṣa kumbhakarṇasya śirasyambarāmāsthitaḥ |
tāni parvataśṛṅgāṇi śūlena sa bibheda ha |

6-67-16|| babhañja vṛkṣavarṣaṃ ca kumbhakarṇo mahābalaḥ ॥6-67-16॥
Translation
Rain-down upon Kumbhakarna's head while staying in the sky. Kumbhakarna split those mountain peaks with his trident and the mighty Kumbhakarna also destroyed that rain of trees.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आकाश में स्थित होकर कुम्भकर्ण के सिर पर वर्षा की। उन पर्वत शिखरों को कुम्भकर्ण ने अपने शूल से काट दिया और वृक्षों की उस वर्षा को भी महाबली कुम्भकर्ण ने नष्ट कर दिया।
English Commentary
This is a battle between heaven and earth, fought between Shri Hanuman and Kumbhakarna. Kumbhakarna's 'Shula' (trident) is his primary weapon of mass destruction. His ability to intercept and split mountain peaks in mid-air serves as a testament to his extraordinary agility and strength. This verse reveals the sheer intensity of the duel between these two titans.

हनुमान जी और कुम्भकर्ण के बीच यह आकाश और पृथ्वी का युद्ध है। कुम्भकर्ण का 'शूल' (त्रिशूल) उसकी मारक क्षमता का मुख्य साधन है। हनुमान जी द्वारा फेंके गए पर्वतों को हवा में ही काट देना कुम्भकर्ण की अद्भुत फुर्ती और शक्ति का प्रमाण है। यह श्लोक दो महाशक्तियों के बीच होने वाले घोर द्वन्द्व की गम्भीरता को प्रकट करता है।
