स्वल्पापि हि न मे पीडा कर्णनासाविनाशनात् ।
दर्शयैक्ष्वाकुशार्दूल वीर्यं गात्रेषु मे लघु ॥६-६७-१६३॥
svalpāpi hi na me pīḍā karṇanāsāvināśanāt |
darśayaikṣvākuśārdūla vīryaṃ gātreṣu me laghu ॥6-67-163॥
Translation
I feel not even a slight bit of pain from the loss of my ears and nose. O tiger among the Ikshvaku race (Shri Rama)! Now, display your swift prowess upon my limbs.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कान और नाक के कट जाने से मुझे थोड़ी सी भी पीड़ा नहीं हो रही है। हे इक्ष्वाकु कुल के सिंह (श्री राम)! अब तुम मेरे अंगों पर अपना शीघ्र पराक्रम दिखाओ।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna directly challenges Shri Rama here. Exhibiting his endurance, he addresses Shri Rama as the 'Tiger of the Ikshvaku race,' honoring the valor of His lineage. He desires for the conflict to shift from verbal repartee to physical action. This is the final invitation to the epic duel between the two titans.

कुम्भकर्ण यहाँ श्री राम को सीधे चुनौती दे रहा है। वह अपनी सहनशीलता का प्रदर्शन करते हुए उन्हें 'इक्ष्वाकु-शार्दूल' कहकर संबोधित करता है, जो श्री राम के वंश की वीरता का सम्मान है। वह चाहता है कि युद्ध अब बातों से हटकर क्रिया पर आ जाए। यह दो महाभटों के बीच होने वाले महायुद्ध का अंतिम निमंत्रण है।
