ततस्तु रक्षः क्षतजानुलिप्तं वित्रासनं देवमहाचमूनाम् ।
विव्याध तं मुद्गरमुग्रवेगं विद्रावयामास चमूं हरीणाम् ॥६-६७-१६७॥
tatastu rakṣaḥ kṣatajānuliptaṃ vitrāsanaṃ devamahācamūnām |
vivyādha taṃ mudgaramugravegaṃ vidrāvayāmāsa camūṃ harīṇām ॥6-67-167॥
Translation
Then that Rakshasa, smeared with blood and the terror of the celestial armies, brandished that fierce-moving mace and routed the army of monkeys.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब रक्त से सने हुए और देव-सेनाओं को डराने वाले उस राक्षस ने उस उग्र वेग वाले मुदगर को घुमाया और वानर सेना को तितर-बितर कर दिया।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna has become aggressive once again. Being smeared with blood ('Kshatajanuliptam') made his destructive form even more terrifying. He began unleashing havoc upon the Vanara host. His mace was like the staff of Death, before which the monkeys could not stand. This is the moment where demonic power is at its maximum momentum.

कुम्भकर्ण अब पुनः आक्रामक हो गया है। 'क्षतज-अनुलिप्तम्' (रक्त से सना हुआ) होना उसके संहारक रूप को और भी भयावह बना रहा था। उसने वानर सेना पर कहर बरपाना शुरू किया। उसका मुदगर साक्षात् यमदण्ड के समान था, जिसके सामने वानर टिक नहीं पा रहे थे। यह युद्ध का वह क्षण है जहाँ असुर शक्ति अपने चरम वेग में है।
