स तस्य बाहुर्गिरिशृङ्गकल्पः समुद्गरो राघवबाणकृत्तः ।
पपात तस्मिन् हरिराजसैन्ये जघान तां वानरवाहिनीं च ॥६-६७-१६९॥
sa tasya bāhurgiriśṛṅgakalpaḥ samudgaro rāghavabāṇakṛttaḥ |
papāta tasmin harirājasainye jaghāna tāṃ vānaravāhinīṃ ca ॥6-67-169॥
Translation
That arm of his, resembling a mountain peak and severed by the arrow of Shri Rama, fell along with the mace upon the army of the monkey-king and crushed the Vanara host.
हिंदी अनुवाद
श्री रघुनाथ जी के बाण से कटी हुई, पर्वत शिखर के समान उसकी वह भुजा मुदगर सहित वानरराज की सेना पर गिरी और उसने वानर सेना का (दबकर) संहार किया।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna's body was so enormous that even his severed arm became a lethal weapon. The fall of the arm, likened to a 'mountain peak,' became a catastrophe for the Vanaras. This depicts the irony of war where even the enemy's fall can cause destruction. Shri Rama's strike was successful, but the giant's scale remained a challenge.

कुम्भकर्ण का शरीर इतना विशाल था कि उसकी कटी हुई भुजा भी एक विनाशकारी शस्त्र बन गई। 'गिरिशृङ्गकल्पः' (पर्वत शिखर के समान) भुजा का गिरना भी वानरों के लिए संकट बन गया। यह युद्ध की उस विडम्बना को दर्शाता है जहाँ शत्रु का पतन भी विनाश का कारण बन सकता है। श्री राम का वार सफल रहा, किन्तु उसकी विशालता अभी भी चुनौती बनी हुई थी।
