ते वानरा भीमहतावशेषाः पर्यन्तमाश्रित्य तदा विषण्णाः ।
प्रवेपिताङ्गा ददृशुः सुघोरं नरेन्द्नरक्षोऽधिपसन्निपातम् ॥६-६७-१७०॥
te vānarā bhīmahatāvaśeṣāḥ paryantamāśritya tadā viṣaṇṇāḥ |
pravepitāṅgā dadṛśuḥ sughoraṃ narendrarakṣo'dhipasannipātam ॥6-67-170॥
Translation
Those monkeys who survived that terrible slaughter stood aside dejected. With trembling limbs, they watched that most terrifying encounter between the King of men (Shri Rama) and the Lord of Rakshasas (Kumbhakarna).
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस भयंकर संहार से बचे हुए वे वानर किनारे हटकर दुखी मन से खड़े हो गए। कांपते हुए अंगों के साथ वे मनुष्यराज (श्री राम) और राक्षसराज (कुम्भकर्ण) के उस भयंकर युद्ध को देखने लगे।
English Commentary
The Vanara army has now become mere spectators. The term 'Pravepitangah' (with trembling limbs) portrays their deep fear and awe. They realize that this battle is now beyond their capacity. It is the final meeting between two supreme entities—the Lord in human form and the demonic force. The entire atmosphere is charged with tension and gravity.

वानर सेना अब केवल मूकदर्शक बनी हुई है। 'प्रवेपिताङ्गाः' (कांपते अंगों वाले) शब्द उनके गहरे भय और विस्मय को चित्रित करते हैं। वे जानते हैं कि अब यह युद्ध उनके वश का नहीं है। यह दो सर्वोच्च सत्ताओं—मनुष्य रूप में ईश्वर और आसुरी शक्ति—का अंतिम मिलन है। पूरा वातावरण तनाव और गम्भीरता से भरा हुआ है।
