तौ तस्य पादौ प्रदिशो दिशश्च गिरीन् गुहाश्चैव महार्णवं च ।
लङ्कां च सेनां कपिराक्षसानां विनादयन्तौ विनिपेततुश्च ॥६-६७-१७५॥
tau tasya pādau pradiśo diśaśca girīn guhāścaiva mahārṇavaṃ ca |
laṅkāṃ ca senāṃ kapirākṣasānāṃ vinādayantau vinipetatuśca ॥6-67-175॥
Translation
Those two legs of his fell, making all directions, sub-directions, mountains, caves, the great ocean, Lanka, and the armies of monkeys and Rakshasas resound with the impact.

उसके वे दोनों पैर दिशाओं, उपदिशाओं, पर्वतों, गुफाओं, महासागर, लंका और वानर-राक्षस सेनाओं को गुँजाते हुए भूमि पर गिर पड़े।
English Commentary
The sound of Kumbhakarna's legs falling was so overwhelming that the entire geography shuddered. The word 'Vinadayantau' denotes a sound as deafening as cataclysmic thunder. This fall was not just of a demon but of a major pillar of Ravana's power. The very ground of Lanka trembled under the weight of its own protector's limbs.

कुम्भकर्ण के पैरों के गिरने की ध्वनि इतनी प्रचंड थी कि सम्पूर्ण भूगोल उससे दहल उठा। 'विनादयन्तौ' शब्द उस महानाद को सूचित करता है जो प्रलय के समान था। यह पतन केवल एक राक्षस का नहीं, बल्कि रावण की शक्ति के एक मुख्य स्तंभ का था। लंका की भूमि अपने ही रक्षक के अंगों के भार से कांप उठी थी।
