न्यपतत् कुम्भकर्णोऽथ स्वकायेन निपातयन् ।
प्लवङ्गमानां कोट्यश्च परितः संप्रधावताम् ॥६-६७-१८४॥
nyapatat kumbhakarṇo'tha svakāyena nipātayan |
plavaṅgamānāṃ koṭyaśca paritaḥ saṃpradhāvatām ॥6-67-184॥
Translation
Then Kumbhakarna's trunk also fell, crushing crores (tens of millions) of Vanaras who were running around beneath his massive body.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब कुम्भकर्ण का धड़ भी गिर पड़ा, जिसने अपने शरीर के नीचे दबकर चारों ओर भागते हुए करोड़ों वानरों को कुचल दिया।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna's trunk (torso) also proved destructive as it fell. The word 'Kotyah' (crores) signifies both the vast number of the Vanara host and the unimaginable extent of Kumbhakarna's body. This was the final and most heavy sacrifice of the war. Even in the moment of death, Kumbhakarna's impact remained cataclysmic.

कुम्भकर्ण का धड़ (शरीर) भी गिरते समय विनाशकारी सिद्ध हुआ। 'कोट्यः' (करोड़ों) शब्द यहाँ वानर सेना की विशाल संख्या और कुम्भकर्ण के शरीर के अकल्पनीय विस्तार को दर्शाता है। यह युद्ध का अंतिम और अत्यंत भारी बलिदान था। मृत्यु के क्षण में भी कुम्भकर्ण का प्रभाव प्रलयकारी रहा।
