Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
निपपातर्षभो भीमः प्रमुखादान्तशोणितः ।
मुष्टिना शरभं हत्वा जानुना नीलमाहवे ॥६-६७-२८॥
nipapātarṣabho bhīmaḥ pramukhādāntaśoṇitaḥ |
muṣṭinā śarabhaṃ hatvā jānunā nīlamāhave ॥6-67-28॥
Translation
The terrible Rishabha fell to the ground, vomiting blood from his mouth. Then Kumbhakarna struck Sharabha with his fist and Nila with his knee in the battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मुँह से रक्त उगलते हुए भयंकर ऋषभ भूमि पर गिर पड़े। फिर कुम्भकर्ण ने मुक्के से शरभ को और घुटने से नील को युद्ध में मारा।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna strikes multiple warriors simultaneously. His use of fists, knees, and arms proves he needs no external weapons; his body itself is an arsenal. The falling of these Vanara commanders emerges as the greatest obstacle in the path to victory over Lanka.

कुम्भकर्ण एक साथ कई योद्धाओं पर प्रहार कर रहा है। मुक्के, घुटने और भुजाओं का प्रयोग यह सिद्ध करता है कि उसे किसी शस्त्र की आवश्यकता नहीं थी। उसका अपना शरीर ही एक शस्त्रगार था। वानर सेनापतियों का इस प्रकार धराशायी होना लंका विजय के मार्ग में सबसे बड़ी बाधा बनकर उभरा है।
