बाहुभ्यां वानरान् सर्वान् प्रगृह्य सुमहाबलः ।
भक्षयामास संक्रुद्धो गरुडः पन्नगानिव ॥६-६७-३५॥
bāhubhyāṃ vānarān sarvān pragṛhya sumahābalaḥ |
bhakṣayāmāsa saṅkruddho garuḍaḥ pannagāniva ॥6-67-35॥
Translation
Then the mighty Kumbhakarna, filled with rage, seized all those Vanaras in his arms and began devouring them just as Garuda devours serpents.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब उस महाबली कुम्भकर्ण ने क्रोध में भरकर सभी वानरों को अपनी भुजाओं में पकड़ लिया और उन्हें वैसे ही खाने लगा जैसे गरुड़ सर्पों को खाते हैं।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna responded to the Vanaras' strikes with extreme cruelty. The Garuda analogy again highlights his absolute power and the Vanaras' helplessness. He wasn't just killing them but making them his meal. This is the most terrifying display of demonic instincts on the battlefield.

कुम्भकर्ण ने अब वानरों के प्रहारों का उत्तर अत्यंत क्रूरता से दिया। गरुड़ की उपमा यहाँ उसकी अमोघ शक्ति और वानरों की विवशता को पुनः रेखांकित करती है। वह वानरों को केवल मार नहीं रहा था, बल्कि अपना भोजन बना रहा था। यह युद्ध के मैदान पर राक्षसी प्रवृत्तियों का सबसे डरावना प्रदर्शन है।
