Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
प्रभग्नान् वानरान् दृष्ट्वा वज्रहस्तसुतात्मजः ।
अभ्यधावत वेगेन कुम्भकर्णं महाहवे ॥६-६७-४३॥
prabhagnān vānarān dṛṣṭvā vajrahastasutātmajaḥ |
abhyadhāvata vegena kumbhakarṇaṃ mahāhave ॥6-67-43॥
Translation
Seeing the Vanaras routed, Angada—the son of Vali, who was the son of Indra (the wielder of the thunderbolt)—rushed with great speed toward Kumbhakarna in the great battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरों को भागते हुए देख, इन्द्र (वज्रहस्त) के पुत्र (बाली) के पुत्र अंगद ने महायुद्ध में कुम्भकर्ण की ओर बड़े वेग से दौड़ लगाई।
English Commentary
Angada upholds the dignity of his noble lineage here. Calling him the grandson of Indra ('Vajrahasta-sutatmaja') alludes to the indomitable heroism inherent in his blood. While the army sought refuge, Angada showed the courage to personally step forward and manage the crisis. This is the duty of a true prince and commander.

अंगद यहाँ अपने महान कुल की मर्यादा का पालन कर रहे हैं। 'वज्रहस्त-सुतात्मज' (इन्द्र के पौत्र) कहना उनके रक्त में निहित अदम्य वीरता को सूचित करता है। जब पूरी सेना शरण में जा रही थी, तब अंगद ने स्वयं आगे बढ़कर स्थिति को संभालने का साहस किया। यह एक सच्चे राजकुमार और सेनापति का कर्तव्य है।
