तस्मिन् प्लवगशार्दूले विसंज्ञे पतिते भुवि ।
तच्छूलं समुपादाय सुग्रीवमभिदुद्रुवे ॥६-६७-५१॥
tasmin plavagaśārdūle visaṃjñe patite bhuvi |
tacchūlaṃ samupādāya sugrīvamabhidudruve ॥6-67-51॥
Translation
When that tiger among monkeys, Angada, fell unconscious on the ground, Kumbhakarna took up his trident and rushed toward Sugriva.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जब वे वानर श्रेष्ठ अंगद संज्ञाहीन होकर भूमि पर गिर गए, तब कुम्भकर्ण अपना शूल उठाकर सुग्रीव की ओर दौड़ा।
English Commentary
After removing Angada from his path, Kumbhakarna's next target is King Sugriva himself. He realizes that if the king is eliminated, the army will collapse on its own. Re-seizing the 'Shula' indicates he is poised for a definitive strike. This verse shifts the focus of the battle to the duel between Sugriva and Kumbhakarna.

अंगद को मार्ग से हटाने के बाद कुम्भकर्ण का अगला लक्ष्य स्वयं वानरराज सुग्रीव हैं। वह जानता है कि यदि राजा का अंत हो गया, तो सेना स्वयं ही नष्ट हो जाएगी। 'शूल' को पुनः उठाना यह संकेत है कि वह अब निर्णायक प्रहार करने वाला है। यह श्लोक युद्ध के केंद्र बिंदु को सुग्रीव और कुम्भकर्ण के द्वन्द्व की ओर मोड़ देता है।
