स शैलशृङ्गाभिहतो विसंज्ञः पपात भूमौ युधि वानरेन्द्रः ।
तं प्रेक्ष्य भूमौ पतितं विसंज्ञं नेदुः प्रहृष्टास्त्वथ यातुधानाः ॥६-६७-६८॥
sa śailaśṛṅgābhihato visaṃjñaḥ papāta bhūmau yudhi vānarendraḥ |
taṃ prekṣya bhūmau patitaṃ visaṃjñaṃ neduḥ prahṛṣṭāstvatha yātudhānāḥ ॥6-67-68॥
Translation
Struck by that mountain peak, the king of monkeys, Sugriva, fell unconscious on the battlefield. Beholding him lying unconscious on the ground, the Rakshasas roared with delight.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पर्वत शिखर की उस चोट से वानरराज सुग्रीव संज्ञाहीन होकर युद्धभूमि में गिर पड़े। उन्हें भूमि पर मूर्छित पड़ा देख राक्षस गण हर्ष के साथ गर्जना करने लगे।
English Commentary
The tide of battle has turned once again. The unconsciousness of a mighty leader like Sugriva was like a cataclysm for the Vanara host. The joy of the Rakshasas symbolizes their temporary triumph. This verse depicts the fluctuations of war and the testing of the heroes' fortitude. Sugriva's swoon has revived hope for the side of Lanka.

युद्ध का पासा एक बार फिर पलट गया है। सुग्रीव जैसे महाबली का मूर्छित होना वानर सेना के लिए प्रलय के समान था। राक्षसों का हर्ष उनकी अस्थायी विजय का प्रतीक है। यह श्लोक युद्ध के उतार-चढ़ाव और नायकों के धैर्य की परीक्षा को चित्रित करता है। सुग्रीव की मूर्च्छा ने लंका के पक्ष में पुनः आशा जगा दी है।
