तमभ्युपेत्याद्भुतघोरवीर्य स कुम्भकर्णो युधि वानरेन्द्रम् ।
जहार सुग्रीवमभिप्रगृह्य यथानिलो मेघमतिप्रचण्डः ॥६-६७-६९॥
tamabhyupetyādbhutaghoravīrya sa kumbhakarṇo yudhi vānarendram |
jahāra sugrīvamabhipragṛhya yathānilo meghamatipracaṇḍaḥ ॥6-67-69॥
Translation
Then that Kumbhakarna of wondrous and terrible prowess seized the king of monkeys in the battle and carried Sugriva away, just as a violent wind sweeps away a cloud.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब उस अद्भुत और घोर पराक्रमी कुम्भकर्ण ने युद्ध में वानरराज सुग्रीव को पकड़ लिया और उन्हें उठाकर वैसे ही ले चला, जैसे प्रचंड वायु मेघ को उड़ा ले जाती है।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna is carrying Sugriva away as a captive. The analogy of wind and cloud highlights his momentum and Sugriva's helplessness. This appeared to be the greatest moment of victory for Lanka. The abduction of the king puts the entire army's existence at stake. This act by Kumbhakarna is the ultimate display of his strategic cunning and raw power.

कुम्भकर्ण सुग्रीव को बंदी बनाकर ले जा रहा है। वायु और मेघ की उपमा उसकी गति और सुग्रीव की विवशता को दर्शाती है। यह लंका की विजय का सबसे बड़ा क्षण प्रतीत हो रहा था। राजा का अपहरण पूरी सेना के अस्तित्व को खतरे में डाल देता है। कुम्भकर्ण का यह कृत्य उसके रणनीतिक कौशल और बल का चरम प्रदर्शन है।
