स तं महामेघनिकशरूपमुत्पाट्य गच्छन् युधि कुम्भकर्णः ।
रराज मेरुप्रतिमानरूपो मेरुर्यथाभ्युच्छ्रितघोरशृङ्गः ॥६-६७-७०॥
sa taṃ mahāmeghanikaśarūpamutpāṭya gacchan yudhi kumbhakarṇaḥ |
rarāja merupratimānarūpo meruryathābhyucchritaghoraśṛṅgaḥ ॥6-67-70॥
Translation
As he went along carrying Sugriva, whose body resembled a massive cloud, Kumbhakarna appeared as vast as Mount Meru, like the Meru mountain standing with its high and terrifying peaks.
हिंदी अनुवाद
विशाल मेघ के समान शरीर वाले सुग्रीव को उठाकर ले जाते हुए वे कुम्भकर्ण, सुमेरु पर्वत के समान विशाल प्रतीत हो रहे थे, मानो सुमेरु पर्वत अपने ऊँचे और भयानक शिखर के साथ खड़ा हो।
English Commentary
The sarga concludes with a portrayal of Kumbhakarna's staggering enormity. Comparing him to Mount Meru reinforces his invincible and gargantuan form. Sugriva appeared as a mere small cloud in his hands. This sight was a matter of dire crisis for the Vanara army and extreme pride for the Rakshasas. From here, the narrative turns toward a new and thrilling phase regarding Sugriva's liberation.

सर्ग का अंत कुम्भकर्ण की विराटता के चित्रण के साथ होता है। उसकी तुलना सुमेरु पर्वत से करना उसके अजेय और भीमकाय स्वरूप को पुष्ट करता है। सुग्रीव उसके हाथों में केवल एक छोटे मेघ के समान लग रहे थे। यह दृश्य वानर सेना के लिए घोर संकट और राक्षसों के लिए चरम गर्व का विषय था। यहाँ से कहानी एक नए और रोमांचक मोड़ की ओर मुड़ती है जहाँ सुग्रीव की मुक्ति का प्रश्न खड़ा होता है।
