ततस्तमुत्पाट्य जगाम वीरः संस्तूयमानो युधि राक्षसेन्द्रैः ।
शृण्वन्निनादं त्रिदशालयानां प्लवङ्गराजग्रहविस्मितानाम् ॥६-६७-७१॥
tatastamutpāṭya jagāma vīraḥ saṃstūyamāno yudhi rākṣasendraiḥ |
śṛṇvanninādaṃ tridaśālayānāṃ plavaṅgarājagrahavismitānām ॥6-67-71॥
Translation
Then that hero Kumbhakarna marched away carrying Sugriva. He was being praised in the battle by the Rakshasa chiefs, and he heard the cries of the dwellers of heaven who were astonished at the capture of the King of monkeys.

तब वह वीर कुम्भकर्ण सुग्रीव को उठाकर चल दिया। युद्धभूमि में राक्षसराज उसकी स्तुति कर रहे थे और वह उन देवताओं के कोलाहल को सुन रहा था जो वानरराज के पकड़े जाने से विस्मित थे।
English Commentary
The abduction of Sugriva by Kumbhakarna marks a point of deep despair for the Vanara army. While it was a moment of celebration for the Rakshasas, the celestial beings were struck with wonder and anxiety. This verse highlights the overwhelming dominance of Kumbhakarna, who managed to capture the sovereign of the monkeys. It portrays the temporary eclipse of the Vanara leadership by the sheer physical might of the demon.
