अथवा स्वयमप्येष मोक्षं प्राप्स्यति पार्थिवः ।
गृहीतोऽयं यदि भवेत् त्रिदशैः सासुरोरगैः ॥६-६७-७७॥
athavā svayampyēṣa mōkṣaṃ prāpsyati pārthivaḥ |
gṛhītō'yaṃ yadi bhavēt tridaśaiḥ sāsuroregaiḥ ॥6-67-77॥
Translation
Or rather, this King himself will attain his liberation. Even if he were captured by the Gods along with the Asuras and Nagas, (he would still free himself).
हिंदी अनुवाद
अथवा, यह वानरराज स्वयं ही अपनी मुक्ति प्राप्त कर लेंगे। यदि इन्हें देवताओं, असुरों और नागों ने मिलकर भी पकड़ा होता (तो भी ये मुक्त हो जाते)।
English Commentary
A subtle and important shift occurs in Shri Hanuman's thoughts here. He reflects upon the personal strength and dignity of Sugriva. He acknowledges that Sugriva is not an ordinary monkey but a sovereign. If Hanuman frees him, it might reflect poorly on the King's own prowess. This verse demonstrates Hanuman's wisdom and His profound respect for His master's capabilities.

यहाँ हनुमान जी के विचारों में एक अत्यंत सूक्ष्म और महत्वपूर्ण मोड़ आता है। वे सुग्रीव की व्यक्तिगत शक्ति और प्रतिष्ठा का सम्मान करते हैं। वे जानते हैं कि सुग्रीव कोई साधारण वानर नहीं बल्कि एक राजा हैं। यदि हनुमान जी उन्हें बचाते हैं, तो सुग्रीव के पौरुष पर प्रश्न उठ सकता है। यह श्लोक हनुमान जी के विवेक और अपने स्वामी के प्रति उनके गहरे सम्मान को दर्शाता है।
