लाजगन्धोदवर्षैस्तु सिच्यमानः शनैः शनैः ।
राजमार्गस्य शीतत्वात् संज्ञामाप महाबलः ॥६-६७-८४॥
lājāgandhodavarṣaistu sicyamānaḥ śanaiḥ śanaiḥ |
rājamārgasya śītatvāt saṃjñāmāpa mahābalaḥ ॥6-67-84॥
Translation
Being gradually sprinkled by the showers of parched grain and scented water, and due to the coolness of the royal road, the mighty Sugriva regained consciousness.
हिंदी अनुवाद
खील (लाजा) और सुगन्धित जल की वर्षा से धीरे-धीरे सींचे जाने पर तथा राजमार्ग की शीतलता के कारण, उन महाबली सुग्रीव को चेतना प्राप्त हुई।
English Commentary
A beautiful irony of fate is depicted here. The scented water and parched grain thrown to welcome Kumbhakarna served as a restorative treatment for Sugriva. The coolness of the surroundings helped Him regain His senses. This verse illustrates how the very instruments of an enemy's celebration can sometimes become a blessing for the devotee.

यहाँ नियति का एक सुंदर खेल दिखाई देता है। जो सुगन्धित जल और खील कुम्भकर्ण के स्वागत के लिए फेंके जा रहे थे, वे ही सुग्रीव के लिए उपचार का कार्य कर गए। राजमार्ग की शीतलता ने उनकी मूर्च्छा दूर कर दी। यह श्लोक दर्शाता है कि शत्रु की प्रसन्नता के साधन भी कभी-कभी भक्त के लिए वरदान बन जाते हैं।
