ततः स संज्ञामुपलभ्य कृच्छ्राद्बलीयसस्तस्य भुजान्तरस्थः ।
अवेक्षमाणः पुरराजमार्गं विचिन्तयामास मुहुर्महात्मा ॥६-६७-८५॥
tataḥ sa saṃjñāmupalabhya kṛcchrādbālīyasastasya bhujāntarasthaḥ |
avekṣamāṇaḥ purarājamārgaṃ vicintayāmāsa muhurmahātmā ॥6-67-85॥
Translation
Then, having regained consciousness with difficulty while held between the arms of that very powerful demon, the high-souled Sugriva, observing the royal road of the city, pondered repeatedly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, उस अत्यंत बलवान (कुम्भकर्ण) की भुजाओं के बीच दबे हुए उन महात्मा सुग्रीव ने बड़ी कठिनाई से चेतना प्राप्त की और लंका के राजमार्ग को देखते हुए बार-बार विचार करने लगे।
English Commentary
Sugriva's nobility is evident in His composure. Upon regaining consciousness, He does not panic but instead begins to observe ('Avekshamanah') and strategize. He recognizes He is in the heart of the enemy's territory. This verse highlights His tactical mind and His resilient nature that refuses to yield even in the direst straits.

सुग्रीव का 'महात्मा' होना यहाँ उनके संयम में दिखता है। होश आते ही वे घबराए नहीं, बल्कि 'अवेक्षमाणः' (निरीक्षण करते हुए) योजना बनाने लगे। वे जानते थे कि वे शत्रु के गढ़ में हैं। यह श्लोक उनके बुद्धि-कौशल और विपरीत परिस्थितियों में भी हार न मानने वाले स्वभाव को प्रकट करता है।
