स भूतले भीमबलाभिपिष्टः सुरारिभिस्तैरभिहन्यमानः ।
जगाम खं वेगवदभ्युपेत्य पुनश्च रामेण समाजगाम ॥६-६७-८९॥
sa bhūtale bhīmabalābhipiṣṭaḥ surāribhistairabhihanyamānaḥ |
jagāma khaṃ vegavadabhyupetya punaśca rāmeṇa samājagāma ॥6-67-89॥
Translation
Even though he was crushed on the ground and struck with terrible force by those enemies of the Gods, Sugriva leaped into the sky with great speed and returned to the side of Shri Rama.

उन देवताओं के शत्रुओं द्वारा भयंकर बल से भूमि पर पटके जाने और मारे जाने पर भी, सुग्रीव ने वेगपूर्वक आकाश में छलांग लगाई और पुनः श्री राम के पास पहुँच गए।
English Commentary
Sugriva's leap is a victory for His invincible life-force and firm resolve. Escaping from Kumbhakarna's clutches was nothing short of a miracle. His return to Shri Rama's side proves His total dedication to the cause. For the Vanara army, this sight was like receiving a fresh lease of life.

सुग्रीव की यह छलांग उनकी अजेय प्राणशक्ति और दृढ़ निश्चय की जीत है। कुम्भकर्ण के चंगुल से बच निकलना एक चमत्कार के समान था। उनका पुनः श्री राम के पास पहुँचना यह सिद्ध करता है कि वे अपने लक्ष्य के प्रति कितने समर्पित थे। वानर सेना के लिए यह दृश्य नवजीवन प्राप्त करने जैसा था।
