स पुत्रान् सम्परिष्वज्य भूषयित्वा च भूषणैः ।
आशीर्भिश्च प्रशस्ताभिः प्रेषयामास संयुगे ॥६-६९-१५॥
sa putrān sampariṣvajya bhūṣayitvā ca bhūṣaṇaiḥ |
āśīrbhiśca praśastābhiḥ preṣayāmāsa saṃyuge ॥6-69-15॥
Translation
Having embraced his sons, adorned them with ornaments, and given them auspicious blessings, he sent them into battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उसने (रावण ने) पुत्रों का आलिंगन करके, उन्हें आभूषणों से विभूषित करके और प्रशस्त (कल्याणकारी) आशीर्वाद देकर युद्ध में भेजा।
English Commentary
Ravana's affection as a father. Adorning and blessing sons before battle is a farewell ritual. The poignancy lies in the possibility that this might be the last time he sees them.

एक पिता के रूप में रावण का स्नेह। युद्ध में जाने से पहले पुत्रों को सजाना और आशीर्वाद देना एक विदाई संस्कार है। यह अंतिम बार हो सकता है जब वह उन्हें देख रहा है, यह भाव इसमें निहित है।
