अथान्तरिक्षे त्रिदशोत्तमानां वनौकसां चैव महाप्रणादः ।
बभूव तस्मिन्निहते ऽग्र्यवीरे नरान्तके वालिसुतेन सङ्ख्ये ॥६-६९-९८॥
athāntarikṣe tridaśottamānāṃ vanaukasāṃ caiva mahāpraṇādaḥ |
babhūva tasminnihate 'gryavīre narāntake vālisutena saṅkhye ॥6-69-98॥
Translation
When that foremost hero Narantaka was killed in battle by the son of Vali, a great roar (of joy) arose among the best of gods in the sky and the monkeys (on earth).
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध में बालिपुत्र द्वारा उस श्रेष्ठ वीर नरान्तक के मारे जाने पर, आकाश में देवताओं और (पृथ्वी पर) वानरों का महान (हर्ष) नाद हुआ।
English Commentary
The killing of Narantaka was a major event, sending a wave of joy among gods and monkeys. This is the celebration of victory.
