इत्युक्ता राक्षसन्द्रेण राक्षसास्ते महाबलाः ।
ऊचुः प्राञ्जलयः सर्वे रावणं राक्षसेश्वरम् ॥६-७-१॥
ityuktā rākṣasandreṇa rākṣasāste mahābalāḥ । ūcuḥ prāñjalayaḥ sarve rāvaṇaṃ rākṣaseśvaram ॥6-7-1॥
Translation
Addressed thus by the King of Rakshasas, all those mighty Rakshasas spoke to Ravana, the Lord of Rakshasas, with folded hands.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षसेन्द्र (रावण) के ऐसा कहने पर, वे सभी महाबली राक्षस हाथ जोड़कर राक्षसेश्वर रावण से बोले।
English Commentary
This sarga captures the sycophantic culture of Ravana's court. Following Ravana's admission of anxiety, his ministers—described as 'mahabalah' (mighty) but submissive ('pranjalaya' - with folded hands)—rush to reassure him. Instead of offering objective counsel as requested, they resort to flattery, which is a classic pitfall in autocratic regimes.

युद्धकाण्ड का सातवाँ सर्ग राक्षसों की प्रतिक्रिया का वर्णन करता है। रावण ने पिछले सर्ग में अपनी चिंता और भय व्यक्त किया था। अब उसके मंत्री और सेनापति उसे सांत्वना देने और उसका मनोबल बढ़ाने का प्रयास करते हैं। 'प्राञ्जलयः' (हाथ जोड़कर) शब्द उनके डर और रावण के प्रति 'YES-MEN' (चाटुकार) रवैये को दर्शाता है। वे रावण को खुश करने के लिए वही बोलेंगे जो वह सुनना चाहता है।
