YUDDHA KANDA•SARGA: 7•SHLOKA: 19
तिष्ठ वा किं महाराज श्रमेण तव वानरान् ।
अयमेको महाबाहुरिन्द्रजित्क्षपयिष्यति ॥६-७-१९॥
tiṣṭha vā kiṃ mahārāja śrameṇa tava vānarān । ayam eko mahābāhurindrajitkṣapayiṣyati ॥6-7-19॥
Translation
Or stay here, O Great King! What is the need for your exertion? This mighty-armed Indrajit alone will destroy the monkeys.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे महाराज! आप (यहीं) ठहरिये (विश्श्री राम कीजिये)। आपको श्रम करने की क्या आवश्यकता है? यह अकेला महाबाहु इन्द्रजीत ही वानरों को नष्ट कर देगा।
English Commentary
Delegating the war. The sycophants suggest that Ravana is too great to fight mere monkeys. They push Indrajit forward as the solution. This feeds Ravana's ego while offering a tactical alternative.
हिंदी टीका
इन्द्रजीत का प्रस्ताव। मंत्री सुझाव देते हैं कि रावण को युद्ध में उतरने की भी जरूरत नहीं है। उसका बेटा इन्द्रजीत (मेघनाद) अकेला ही काफी है। यह रावण को 'चिंतामुक्त' करने का प्रयास है।
