YUDDHA KANDA•SARGA: 7•SHLOKA: 23
अनेन हि समासाद्य देवानां बलसागरम् ।
गृहीतो दैवतपतिर्लङ्कां चापि प्रवेशितः ॥६-७-२३॥
anena hi samāsādya devānāṃ balasāgaram । gṛhīto daivatapatirlaṅkāṃ cāpi praveśitaḥ ॥6-7-23॥
Translation
For by him, having encountered/churned the ocean of the army of gods, the Lord of Gods (Indra) was captured and brought into Lanka.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इसने (इन्द्रजीत ने) देवताओं की सेना रूपी सागर को मथकर, देवराज (इन्द्र) को पकड़ लिया और लंका में ले आया।
English Commentary
The Capture of Indra. The defining moment of Indrajit's career. Capturing the King of Gods and parading him in Lanka is the ultimate humiliation for the Devas and the ultimate boast for the Rakshasas.
हिंदी टीका
इन्द्र की गिरफ्तारी। यह श्री रामायण का एक प्रसिद्ध प्रसंग है। मेघनाद ने इन्द्र को हराकर बंदी बना लिया था, तभी उसका नाम 'इन्द्रजीत' पड़ा। यह उपलब्धि श्री राम की सेना के लिए एक चेतावनी है।
