पितामहनियोगाच्च मुक्तः शम्बरवृत्रहा ।
गतस्त्रिविष्टपं राजन् सर्वदेवनमस्कृतः ॥६-७-२४॥
pitāmahaniyogācca muktaḥ śambaravṛtrahā । gatastriviṣṭapaṃ rājan sarvadevanamaskṛtaḥ ॥6-7-24॥
Translation
And by the order of Grandfather (Brahma), the slayer of Shambara and Vritra (Indra) was released and went to heaven, honored by all gods.
हिंदी अनुवाद
फिर पितामह (ब्रह्मा) के आदेश से वह शम्बर और वृत्र का वध करने वाला (इन्द्र) छोड़ा गया और सब देवताओं द्वारा नमस्कृत होकर स्वर्ग (त्रिविष्टप) गया।
English Commentary
Divine Intervention. Indra was released only on parole granted by Brahma. This underlines that Indrajit held the life of the King of Gods in his hands. It reinforces the narrative that the Rakshasas are the supreme power in the universe.
हिंदी टीका
ब्रह्मा का हस्तक्षेप। इन्द्र को ब्रह्मा जी के कहने पर छोड़ा गया था। इसका अर्थ है कि इन्द्रजीत ने दया करके इन्द्र को छोड़ा, न कि कमजोरी से। रावण को यह याद दिलाकर मंत्री कहते हैं कि आपका बेटा देवताओं से भी ऊपर है।
