Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
राजन्नापदयुक्तेयमागता प्राकृताज्जनात् ।
हृदि नैव त्वया कार्या त्वं वधिष्यसि राघवम् ॥६-७-२६॥
rājannāpadayukteyamāgatā prākṛtājjanaṃ । hṛdi naiva tvayā kāryā tvaṃ vadhiṣyasi rāghavam ॥6-7-26॥
Translation
O King! This calamity that has come from an ordinary man is not worth holding in your heart (worrying about). You will (surely) kill Raghava.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राजन! एक साधारण (प्राकृत) मनुष्य से आई हुई यह आपत्ति (संकट) आपके लिए हृदय में धारण करने (चिंता करने) योग्य नहीं है। आप (निश्चय ही) राघव का वध करेंगे।
English Commentary
False reassurance. The sarga concludes with the ministers dismissing the threat as 'coming from a common man' ('prakritat janat'). They advise Ravana not to take it to heart. Ironically, this flattery fulfills Ravana's definition of 'Adhama Mantra' (worst counsel) because it ignores the reality of Shri Rama's divinity and the ominous signs. They seal Ravana's fate with their sycophancy.

झूठा आश्वासन। सर्ग का अंत मंत्रियों द्वारा रावण के डर को खारिज करने के साथ होता है। वे श्री राम को 'प्राकृत जन' (Ordinary man) कहते हैं, जो उनकी सबसे बड़ी भूल है। वे कहते हैं 'चिंता मत करो, तुम जीतोगे'। यह वही 'अधम मंत्र' है जिसकी चर्चा रावण ने पिछले सर्ग में की थी—बिना तथ्यों को जांचे बस राजा को खुश करना।
