Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स त्रिभिर्नैर्ऋतश्रेष्ठैर्युगपत् समभिद्रुतः ।
न विव्यथे महातेजा वालिपुत्रः प्रतापवान् ॥६-७०-१२॥
sa tribhirnairṛtaśreṣṭhair-yugapat samabhidrutaḥ |
na vivyathe mahātejā vāliputraḥ pratāpavān ॥6-70-12॥
Translation
Even though attacked simultaneously by those three foremost Rakshasas, the highly radiant and illustrious Angada, son of Vali, did not feel any pain (or waver).
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन तीनों श्रेष्ठ राक्षसों द्वारा एक साथ आक्रमण किए जाने पर भी महातेजस्वी और प्रतापी वालिपुत्र अंगद विचलित नहीं हुए।
English Commentary
This verse extols Angada's extraordinary courage and divine brilliance ('Mahatejas'). The simultaneous assault of three titans would suffice to break any warrior, but Angada's lack of distress proves his adamantine body and mental resolve. He has transcended physical pain in his devotion to Shri Rama's cause.
हिंदी टीका
यह श्लोक अंगद जी के असाधारण साहस और 'महातेज' का वर्णन करता है। तीन महाबलियों का संयुक्त प्रहार किसी भी योद्धा को तोड़ने के लिए पर्याप्त था, किन्तु अंगद का 'न विव्यथे' (पीड़ित न होना) उनके वज्र के समान शरीर और मानसिक दृढ़ता को सिद्ध करता है। वे श्री राम के कार्य के लिए अपनी देह की पीड़ा को भी भूल चुके हैं।
