आरूढो मेघसङ्काशं वारणेन्द्रं महोदरः ।
वालिपुत्रं महावीर्यमभिदुद्राव वीर्यवान् ॥६-७०-२॥
ārūḍho meghasaṅkāśaṃ vāraṇendraṃ mahodaraḥ |
vāliputraṃ mahāvīryamabhidudrāva vīryavān ॥6-70-2॥
Translation
Mounted on an excellent elephant that resembled a vast cloud, the powerful Mahodara rushed toward the highly valiant Angada, the son of Vali.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बादल के समान विशाल श्रेष्ठ हाथी पर सवार होकर बलवान महोदर महावीर्यवान वालिपुत्र अंगद की ओर तेजी से बढ़ा।
English Commentary
Mahodara challenges Angada while mounted on a massive elephant. Comparing the elephant to a cloud emphasizes its enormous size. Mahodara's advancement represents his courage, but it also signals the start of a duel between two different types of power—the imperial military might of the Rakshasas and the raw, indomitable physical prowess of Angada.

महोदर यहाँ एक हाथी पर सवार होकर अंगद जी को चुनौती दे रहा है। हाथी की तुलना मेघ से करना उसकी विशालता को पुष्ट करता है। अंगद जी का सामना करने के लिए महोदर का आगे बढ़ना उसके साहस को दर्शाता है, किन्तु यहाँ दो शक्तियों का द्वंद्व आरम्भ होने वाला है। एक ओर राजसी सेना का वैभव है और दूसरी ओर अंगद का अदम्य शारीरिक पराक्रम।
