तद्बाणशतनिर्भिन्नं विदारितशिलातलम् ।
सविस्फुलिङ्गं सज्वालं निपपात गिरः शिरः ॥६-७०-२२॥
tadbāṇaśatanirbhinnaṃ vidāritaśilātalam |
savisphuliṅgaṃ sajjvālaṃ nipapāta giraḥ śiraḥ ॥6-70-22॥
Translation
Pierced by hundreds of arrows and shattered, that mountain peak fell to the earth with sparks and flames.

सैकड़ों बाणों से बिंधा हुआ और टुकड़े-टुकड़े हुआ वह पर्वत शिखर चिनगारियों और ज्वाला के साथ भूमि पर गिर पड़ा।
English Commentary
This scene depicts the energy and friction generated by the impact of the arrows. The term 'Savisphulingam' (with sparks) brings the ferocity of the battle to life. The shattering of the mountain peak suggests that the Rakshasa weaponry was temporarily prevailing over the Vanaras' natural arms, necessitating an even more powerful strike.
