Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तमापतन्तमुत्प्लुत्य हनुमान् मारुतात्मजः ।
आजघान तदा मूर्ध्नि वज्रकल्पेन मुष्टिना ॥६-७०-२४॥
tamāpatantamutplutya hanumān mārutātmajaḥ |
ājaghāna tadā mūrdhni vajrakalpena muṣṭinā ॥6-70-24॥
Translation
Seeing him approaching, Hanuman, the son of the Wind, leaped up and struck him on the head with His fist that was as hard as a thunderbolt.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अपनी ओर आते हुए उसे देखकर पवनपुत्र हनुमान जी ने उछलकर उसके मस्तक पर अपने वज्र के समान मुक्के से प्रहार किया।
English Commentary
Hanuman's strike was brief yet infallible. He used no external weapon but relied on His 'Vajrakalpa' (Vajra-like) fist. This blow was as definitive as Death itself. Striking the head was intended to uproot the enemy's consciousness. Hanuman's power is revealed here in its full, majestic glory.
हिंदी टीका
हनुमान जी का प्रहार अत्यंत संक्षिप्त किन्तु अमोघ था। उन्होंने किसी बाहरी शस्त्र का प्रयोग नहीं किया, बल्कि अपनी 'वज्रकल्पा' मुष्टि (मुक्का) का सहारा लिया। यह प्रहार साक्षात् मृत्यु के समान था। मस्तक पर प्रहार करना शत्रु की चेतना को जड़ से समाप्त करने के लिए था। हनुमान जी की शक्ति यहाँ अपने पूर्ण वैभव में प्रकट हुई है।
