स मुष्टिनिष्पिष्टविकीर्णमूर्धा निर्वान्तदन्ताक्षिविलम्बिजिह्वः ।
देवान्तको राक्षसराजसूनुर्गतासुरुर्व्यां सहसा पपात ॥६-७०-२६॥
sa muṣṭiniṣpiṣṭavikīrṇamūrdhā nirvāntadantākṣivilambijihvaḥ |
devāntako rākṣasarājasunurgatāsururvyāṃ sahasā papāta ॥6-70-26॥
Translation
With his head crushed and scattered by the fist-blow, his teeth and eyes dislodged, and his tongue lolling out, Devantaka, the son of the Rakshasa King, suddenly fell lifeless to the ground.

मुक्के के प्रहार से जिसका मस्तक चूर्ण हो गया था, जिसके दांत और आँखें बाहर निकल आई थीं और जिसकी जीभ लटक गई थी, वह राक्षसराज का पुत्र देवान्तक प्राणहीन होकर अचानक भूमि पर गिर पड़ा।
English Commentary
The description of Devantaka's end is graphic and brutally honest. The power of Hanuman's fist was so immense that the demon's body could not sustain the impact. His becoming 'Gatasuh' (lifeless) symbolizes the collapse of a major pillar of unrighteousness. This verse conveys that no matter how great the demonic power, it crumbles like a house of cards before a divine strike.

देवान्तक के अंत का यह वर्णन अत्यंत वीभत्स और सत्यपरक है। हनुमान जी के मुक्के की शक्ति इतनी अधिक थी कि राक्षस का शरीर उसे सहन नहीं कर सका। 'गतासुः' (प्राणहीन) होना अधर्म के एक बड़े स्तम्भ के ढहने का प्रतीक है। यह श्लोक यह संदेश देता है कि आसुरी शक्ति चाहे कितनी भी बड़ी क्यों न हो, दैवीय प्रहार के सामने वह रेत के महल की तरह ढह जाती है।
