तस्मिन् हते राक्षसयोधमुख्ये महाबले संयति देवशत्रौ ।
क्रुद्धस्त्रिमूर्धा निशिताग्रमुग्रं ववर्ष नीलोरसि बाणवर्षम् ॥६-७०-२७॥
tasmin hate rākṣasayodhamukhye mahābale saṃyati devaśatrau |
kruddhastrimūrdhā niśitāgramugraṃ vavarṣa nīlorasi bāṇavarṣam ॥6-70-27॥
Translation
When that mighty enemy of the Gods and principal Rakshasa warrior (Devantaka) was slain in battle, the enraged Trishira showered a fierce volley of sharp arrows on Nila's chest.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जब युद्ध में देवताओं का वह महाबली शत्रु और मुख्य राक्षस योद्धा (देवान्तक) मारा गया, तब क्रोधित त्रिशिरा ने नील की छाती पर तीखे और भयंकर बाणों की वर्षा कर दी।
English Commentary
Devantaka's death agitated Trishira, causing his rage to erupt as a shower of arrows. He targeted Nila's chest, a vital point for a piercing attack. In war, the loss of a comrade often makes the remaining warrior more violent, which is evident in Trishira's behavior here.
हिंदी टीका
देवान्तक की मृत्यु ने त्रिशिरा को विचलित कर दिया, जिससे उसका क्रोध बाण-वर्षा के रूप में फूट पड़ा। उसने अब नील को अपना निशाना बनाया। 'नीलोरसि' (नील की छाती पर) प्रहार करना मर्मभेदी आक्रमण था। युद्ध में एक साथी के खोने का दुःख अक्सर दूसरे योद्धा को और अधिक हिंसक बना देता है, जो यहाँ त्रिशिरा के व्यवहार में स्पष्ट है।
