महोदरस्तु सङ्क्रुद्धः कुञ्जरं पर्वतोपमम् ।
भूयः समधिरुह्याशु मन्दरं रश्मिमानिव ॥६-७०-२८॥
mahodarastu saṅkrūddhaḥ kuñjaraṃ parvatopamam |
bhūyaḥ samadhiruhyāśu mandaraṃ raśmimāniva ॥6-70-28॥
Translation
The exceedingly enraged Mahodara too quickly mounted his mountain-like elephant, just as the sun ascends Mount Mandara.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अत्यंत क्रोधित महोदर भी पर्वत के समान विशाल हाथी पर वैसे ही तेजी से सवार हो गया, जैसे सूर्य मन्दराचल पर्वत पर चढ़ जाते हैं।
English Commentary
Mahodara, whose previous elephant was killed, now returns to the fray on another massive mount. The analogy of the sun and Mount Mandara illustrates his brilliance and stature. His return ('Bhuyah') signifies his relentless nature, depicting the tenacity characteristic of Lanka's elite warriors.

महोदर, जिसका हाथी पहले मारा गया था, वह अब दूसरे विशाल हाथी पर सवार होकर युद्ध में लौट आया है। सूर्य और मन्दराचल की उपमा उसकी तेजस्विता और विशालता को दर्शाती है। उसका 'भूयः' (पुनः) युद्ध में आना उसकी हार न मानने वाली प्रवृत्ति को प्रकट करता है। यह लंका के योद्धाओं की दृढ़ता का चित्रण है।
